The return of Haji Wright to the Coventry City squad certainly provided a boost, but Saturday’s individual gem from the American striker will have Frank Lampard excited for what’s to come.

Wright scored a hat trick in the Sky Blues’ 3-0 EFL Championship victory over fellow promotion chasers Sunderland. The 26-year-old earned SBI Americans Abroad Player of the Week honors after his Man of the Match performance.

Wright only recently returned to action for Coventry City and found it tough to get back amongst the goals. However, he delivered three superb finishes on Saturday, providing fans with a glimpse of what he can bring for the remainder of the season.

Coventry City moved into fifth place with the victory, remaining well in the race for a top-six finish.

Although Wright will not be part of the upcoming U.S. men’s national team window, his hat trick performance surely put a smile on Mauricio Pochettino’s face.

The Sky Blues will have a needed break before returning to action against Sheffield United and Burnley, two clubs currently in front of them in the league table.

Here is a look at some of the other top Americans Abroad performers from this past week:

Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is playing a vital role for AC Milan this winter.

Pulisic scored his 15th goal of the season across all competitions as the Rossoneri defeated Como 2-1 in Serie A play. The USMNT star extended his goal contributions to 24 on the season, moving two behind his full haul from last year.

He now heads into USMNT duty on fine form.

Alex Zendejas

Alex Zendejas added two additional starts to his stat list this past week.

Zendejas scored once in Club America’s 4-0 second leg victory over Chivas in CONCACAF Champions Cup play before also logging 79 minutes on Saturday in Liga MX action. The USMNT winger now has six goals and five assists in 11 appearances between Clausura and CONCACAF action.

Although he won’t be in USMNT camp, Zendejas remains a player for Pochettino to consider long-term.

Lindsey Horan

Lyon continues to fly in the Division 1 Feminine division.

Lindsey Horan recorded two assists in Lyon’s 8-1 victory over Stade Reims on Friday. The USWNT midfielder continues to pull plenty of strings in the Lyon attack and those abilities were on display yet again.

Antonee Robinson

Antonee Robinson helped shut down Tottenham in Sunday’s London Derby victory.

Robinson logged 90 minutes, winning nine duels, making two interceptions, and six defensive recoveries. The USMNT left back remains one of the best in the Premier League this season and Sunday’s 2-0 triumph has kept the Cottagers in the conversation for a potential European berth.
