AC Milan showed interest in U.S. men’s national team midfielder Gio Reyna once before and is now reportedly back in the mix for him this winter.
The Rossoneri are targeting Reyna for a potential move to Serie A, TuttoMercato reported this week. AC Milan representatives reportedly did meet with Reyna’s agent in Düsseldorf, but the clubs have not begun talks yet, added Sky Germany.
The 22-year-old Reyna has remained at Borussia Dortmund despite past interest from AC Milan in Fall 2023.
Reyna recently scored his second Bundesliga goal of the season this week despite the Black and Yellow’s shocking 4-2 loss to Holstein Kiel. The USMNT attacker struggled for playing time last season before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at EPL side Nottingham Forest.
Reyna returned to Dortmund this summer and has overcome multiple injury issues to get back to playing regularly.
AC Milan already has USMNT stars Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah and could make Reyna its third American signing in recent years. The Rossoneri won the Supercoppa Italiana to begin 2025 but remains outside of the Serie A top four.
