Tyler Adams enjoyed one of his more impressive victories at club level on Saturday.

Adams helped AFC Bournemouth upset reigning English Premier League champions Manchester City 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium. The U.S. men’s national team midfielder came off the bench and played 24 minutes as the Cherries moved to ninth place in the league table.

Bournemouth grabbed an early 1-0 advantage thanks to Antoine Semenyo’s fourth league goal of the season.

Despite ample chances from the visiting Citizens, Evanilson doubled Bournemouth’s lead in the 64th minute.

Josko Gvardiol cut Man City’s deficit in half with eight minutes to play, but Pep Guardiola’s men were unable to find an equalizing goal.

Adams, who entered the match in the 66th minute, made one interception won one duel, and made three defensive recoveries. It marked the most minutes played for the 25-year-old since March 30 vs. Everton.

After an impressive string of results against Arsenal (2-0 win), Aston Villa (1-1 draw), and Man City (2-1 win), the Cherries will aim to make it four-straight matches unbeaten with a November 9 trip to Brentford.

Adams will be seeking his first USMNT involvement since the 2024 Copa America as the Americans face Jamaica in the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals.
