Weston McKennie and Tim Weah started together in Juventus’ home Serie A showdown with Parma on Wednesday and both walked away with goals to their names.
McKennie and Weah both scored in the Bianconeri’s 2-2 league draw with Parma, giving Thiago Motta’s squad a share of the spoils. McKennie played 71 minutes in the match while Weah logged 59 minutes from the start.
After falling down 1-0 early, Juventus fought back with Weah and McKennie combining for their first equalizer of the night. Weah’s corner kick was headed in by McKennie his first league goal of the season.
Parma grabbed a 2-1 lead before halftime though, putting the hosts under pressure heading into the break.
Juventus rallied again after halftime, this time watching Chico Conceicao’s cross flicked home by Weah into the roof of the net. It marked Weah’s second-consecutive performance with a goal, continuing a positive return to action for the USMNT winger.
Despite ample chances from both teams as the match went on, Juventus and Parma had to settle for a 2-2 scoreline. It marked Juventus’ second draw in the past five days after tying Inter Milan 4-4 last weekend.
