Video: MLS crew previews the LA Galaxy's 2018 season

How will Sigi Schmid's side perform? With just days to go until the MLS season kicks off, the league is busy churning out plenty of quality content. Below is a short clip with league pundits Andrew Wiebe, Calen Carr and Bobby Warshaw analyzing the Galaxy in 2018. (When you're done here, head to the MLS Instagram account and check out Arielle Castillo's live story with Rolf Feltscher) The crew looks at the major rebuild the Galaxy went through after a down year and discusses what they need to do to turn it around this season. We also talk with Giovani dos Santos about what to expect from the team. Bobby Warshaw (a.k.a. the analyst Doyle argues with) makes some solid points. After acknowledging LA's pressing need for Perry Kitchen to sit as an anchor in front of the back four, he goes on to praise Kitchen's leadership qualities, asking aloud if the former Hearts captain can, among other things, hold Giovani dos Santos accountable. When dos Santos first arrived in LA, Gio had to perform at 100%, not unless he wanted a knuckle sandwich from Uncle Robbie. One of the unforeseen consequences of jettisoning so many veterans from the Galaxy roster after Bruce Arena left was the absence of the competitive spirit which had fostered in the locker room for so many years. As a result, Gio was not under as much pressure to stay sharp and perform. Will things be different in 2018?
