Atletico Madrid have had a busy day so far. They've confirmed the departures of Mario Hermoso, Gabriel Paulista and Memphis Depay, while also announcing that Cesar Azpilicueta has extended his stay by another 12 months. They are now close to finalise another deal, one that will be very profitable.

Soyuncu joined Atleti last summer following the expiration of his Leicester City contract. However, he struggled to convince Diego Simeone, and was sent out on loan to Fenerbahce in January. He will now head to Türkiye permanently.
The money received for Soyuncu will be very important to Atletico Madrid, as they target several big-money operations. Robin Le Normand will sign soon from Real Sociedad, while talks are currently ongoing with Feyenoord for David Hancko.
