The bronze medal match at the 2024 Olympic Games was not much of a contest, as it turned out. Morocco took on Egypt in Nantes, and they secured a comprehensive 6-0 victory – thus ensuring their place on the podium.
Ez Abde and Ilias Akhomach, Morocco's two La Liga players, each played their part in the victory. Abde scored a stunning goal to make it 2-0, and he also provided two assists. Akhomach provided an assist of his own, for Morocco's fourth goal of the afternoon.

It means that Real Betis and Villarreal each have one bronze medallist, while La Masia can also take some credit given that both players came through the Barcelona academy system.
The gold medal match takes place on Friday, with Spain taking on hosts France. There will be plenty more La Liga medallists following the resumption of that match, with the hope being that La Rojita can be the ones to take gold.
