Real Madrid secure 3-0 victory in opening pre-season friendly

Ahead of their pre-season tour of the United States, which gets underway this weekend, Real Madrid took part in their first friendly match of the summer on Wednesday evening. Carlo Ancelotti's side took on Segunda outfit Albacete in a behind-closed-doors fixture at their Valdebebas training complex.

Courtois; Lucas, Vallejo, Asencio, Fran García; Mario Martín, Ceballos, Palacios, Nico Paz, Brahim and Latasa. That was the line-up for the first 45 minutes of the encounter, as per Marca. Real Madrid led 2-0 at the half time interval, with the goals coming from Brahim Diaz and Juanmi Latasa.

In the second half, 11 changes were made. Andriy Lunin and Reinier Jesus were brought on, with the remaining players being from Raul Gonzalez's Castilla squad. It was Reinier that scored the third, as Real Madrid ran out 3-0 winners.

A good workout for Carlo Ancelotti's side, who will be jetting off to the United States in the coming days. Whilst stateside, Real Madrid will face AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea in friendly matches.
