Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe prove there's no animosity between them with heart-warming comments

With Kylian Mbappe having joined Real Madrid last summer, there had been some concerns about a possible clash with other "big egos" in the dressing room, and especially with Vinicius Junior, who is his "rival" for the left wing position. However, the pair have shown that they are very close.

During an impromptu interview as part of Real Madrid's open training session (via Marca), the pair spoke glowingly of each other. Firstly, Mbappe highlighted Vinicius' humble attitude.

"What do I admire most about Vini? His humility, without a doubt. Everyone knows the player and sees every three days the quality he has. This year he has won many collective titles and individual awards, but I highlight his humility. He's always good with the people in the dressing room and I like that a lot.

"We can score many more goals and we are going to do it. I had to adapt to a new team and in the dressing room they have helped me a lot. I thank them all."

Vinicius values his teammate on and off the pitch, and he also expects him to keep improving as he continues to adjust to playing for the defending La Liga and European champions.

"Kylian is a crack as a person and as a player. He's very easy to play with. He is going to score a lot of goals for all the Real Madrid supporters. This has only just begun."
