Anthony Taylor taken off refereeing duties this weekend following record-breaking Premier League clash

Anthony Taylor has not been selected to referee a Premier League clash this weekend following his card-heavy display at the Vitality Stadium.
Taylor brandished a total of 14 yellow cards during Chelsea's 1-0 win at Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
It eclipsed the previous Premier League record of 13 cards in Sheffield United's game with Tottenham last year.
In total, Taylor pulled out his card a whopping 16 times including two shown to members of the Blues' coaching staff.
Taylor was hasty in going into his book, causing much disruption to the flow of the match.
It has been suggested that the record haul of cards will see both Bournemouth and Chelsea to be fined £25,000 each for picking up six or more yellow cards each.
The frustration was apparent for both sides throughout the game, but Chelsea held firm to edge out the Cherries thanks to Christopher Nkunku's late strike.
But Taylor's history-making performance has now seen him omitted from the list of referees taking charge of this weekend’s round of top-flight fixtures.
Instead, Taylor will take up the role of fourth official for Southampton's clash with fellow promoted side Ipswich at St Mary's On Saturday.
Taylor will do the same role again on Sunday when Brighton entertain Nottingham Forest at the Amex Stadium.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola refused to be drawn on Taylor's display, but failed to hide his frustration.
“I will not talk about the referee," he said after seeing his side slip to defeat.
“I have been talking and it is not working so I have decided now I will try the opposite and see what happens.”
Meanwhile, his opposing number Enzo Maresca added: “I complained about a foul on Wesley Fofana which for me was quite clear, but it can happen.
“Eight yellow cards probably because these sort of games are about duels and fight and this can happen.
“It is not a problem for me with this amount of yellow cards. It is what it is. Sometimes the game demands the way you have to behave.”
Taylor is viewed as one of English football's top referees and was handed the responsibility of officiating three games at Euro 2024 – including Spain's quarter-final victory over host nation Germany.
The 45-year-old also oversaw two games at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and is a regular in UEFA club competitions.
