‘Are Arsenal going to stop winning?’ Man City star Kyle Walker jokes with Bukayo Saka but Gunners winger is only focussed on World Cup with England

With the World Cup just days away, England’s stars are preparing to compete on the biggest stage of all in Qatar. However, despite the Three Lions stars switching their focus from club to country, it seems as though Kyle Walker still had an important question for domestic rival Bukayo Saka. Walker has been named in England’s World Cup squad despite recent injuryGetty Saka is England’s current Player of the YearTwitter: @England Top flight club football has paused for the next six weeks for the World Cup, and Arsenal are the current leaders in this year’s Premier League title race as they sit five points clear of reigning champions Manchester City. Saka has been a key part of the Gunners’ success so far this season, having scored four goals and assisted six in the league as Mikel Arteta’s side emerge as title contenders. On the other hand, Walker’s City have lost pace on Arsenal heading into the break, and suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat against Brentford in their final match until late December. It is clear to see that although he is now on international duty with England, Walker is still focussed on City’s attempts to win their third consecutive Premier League title. The Three Lions posted the players’ arrivals at St. George’s Park on YouTube ahead of their trip to Qatar, and the City defender had one key question for his fellow international. “Are you guys [Arsenal] gonna stop winning?” Walker asked jokingly to the Gunners’ star. England’s first match of the tournament will come against Iran next Monday, before they face the USA and Wales in their remaining Group B fixtures. Walker and Saka will undoubtedly continue to battle for the Premier League later this season, but both will now have to put their club allegiances aside and work together as England set their sights on World Cup glory. talkSPORT BET OFFER OF THE DAY Bet £10 Get £30 In Free Bets* – CLAIM HERE 18+ Opt in, bet £10+ at odds 2.00+, in 7 days.
