Arsenal fans all spotted what was happening on Chelsea's social media account when Kai Havertz was running riot at the Emirates.

Havertz showed that it wasn't £60million down the drain (or so the chant goes) as he scored twice against his former club in a 5-0 win.

The Germany international was brilliant playing as the number nine and has already surpassed his best ever Premier League goalscoring season.

That was 11 goals for the season, with his double coming in the London demolition of Chelsea to send the Gunners three points clear at the top of the table.

Arsenal fans were convinced the Chelsea admin on X, formerly Twitter, couldn't even bring themselves to mention Havertz by name.

When he scored, their account posted "Goal to Arsenal." But when Ben White found the net it mentioned his name.

It was picked up by many Gooners, with some asking the question – who scored?

Commenting on it on social media, one Arsenal fan said: "Couldn't even name the goalscorer."

Another added: "And his name is Kai Havertz."

A third wrote: "Say his name."

However, the club also did not name Leandro Trossard when he scored the opener, perhaps ruing the former Brighton player they should have signed.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Havertz after his double against his former club.

“He was unbelievable, in all departments,” he said.

“For a nine to score two goals the way he scored, his contribution was great. It’s a question for him but I’m sure he’s very pleased.

“It was a big performance, collectively and individually,” added Arteta, whose side moved clear at the top ahead of Sunday’s derby against Tottenham but have played a game more than Liverpool and two more than Manchester City.

“I thought we were really good, against a really good team that was in great form and were going to ask us a lot of questions. I think we responded really well.

“From the start we were really determined, really flowing, playing with a lot of courage and making things happen. Really happy with the result. It’s a big day for our supporters.

“It’s great for us, for the confidence and for the belief that we can do it, we can come to these stages against big teams and win games the way we’ve done it tonight. So enjoy it, then it’s back to work tomorrow because we have a big one on Sunday.”
