Chelsea booed by fans at Stamford Bridge again as ten-man Burnley come from behind twice

Chelsea were guilty of another disasterclass against ten-man Burnley as fans once again turned on boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Boos rung around Stamford Bridge as the Blues were held to a 2-2 draw at home against the relegation-threatened Clarets – despite taking the lead twice.

And to make matters worse, the visitors were reduced to ten men just before the break, while also seeing manager Vincent Kompany red carded.

Lorenz Assignon was given his marching orders for two yellow cards, with Kompany dismissed over his angry protests to the defender giving away a penalty.

Cole Palmer broke the deadlock from the resulting spot-kick with a cheeky penalty with all signs pointing towards a comfortable afternoon for the hosts.

But it once again ended in nightmare fashion, as Burnley fought back to earn a deserved point.

Josh Cullen equalised just after the restart with a stunning strike from distance, before Palmer popped up with his second in the 78th minute.

However their lead lasted just three minutes, as Dara O’Shea got on the end of the corner to guide his effort past goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic.

And replays show the Serbian shot-stopper should have kept the header out, as the ball squeezed through his fingers.

In the end, Chelsea were lucky to end with a point after Jay Rodriguez smashed the bar with a header, before firing over the rebound from six yards out.
