While there’s a year to wait for Chelsea fans to see their newest signing in action, that hasn’t stopped the excitement building over his arrival.

Dubbed as one of South America’s next biggest prospects, the 17-year-old is nicknamed as ‘Messinho’, or ‘Little Messi’, due to his stature and quality on the ball.

That was plain to see in Palmeiras‘ latest victory as he scored a goal to help his side to a 3-1 victory over Juventude in Brazil’s Serie A.

After scoring his effort, Estevao pulled out a familiar goal celebration as he emulated Palmer’s ‘cold’ gesture as he rubbed his arms and puffed out his cheeks.

The celebration has become something of a trademark for Palmer after he and now-Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers came up with the celebration during their time together at Manchester City.

After scoring for Palmeiras, Estevao wrote: “Another incredible night, victory, goal, congratulations to the whole team, we continue!! God knows all things.”

Palmer then shared the image of the 17-year-old’s celebration on his Instagram story with the simply caption: “Soon,” accompanied by a winking emoji.

The prospect of seeing Estevao and Palmer in the same Chelsea team will be very exciting for supporters at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer scored 25 goals and racked up 15 assists for the Blues in his debut season and by the time the Brazilian starlet arrives next summer, it’s possible that the England star could be one of the Premier League’s most impactful attacking stars.

The 22-year-old will face a difficult challenge in Chelsea’s opening game of the season as they face his former club, Man City, on the first weekend of the season.
