Cristiano Ronaldo was among the players to model the new lime green design despite ongoing speculation over the 37-year-old’s future. The superstar forward was not at the forefront of United’s kit launch – but featured midway through a gallery on the club’s website. More importantly, however, the new strip was not particularly well-received by supporters on social media. One fan labelled it an ‘atrocity’, while another described it as ‘vile’. While there will be a change of colour against Brentford, United fans will be more concerned about a transformative performance after the 2-1 loss at home to Brighton.
