Everton vs Manchester United: Red Devils out to pile on misery following Toffees' 10-point deduction – kick-off time, team news and how to follow

Manchester United travel to Goodison Park this weekend as they aim to pile the misery on Everton following their 10-point deduction.

The Toffees have now dropped down to 19th in the Premier League table following the penalty which was handed out last week.

And Man United will look to capitalise on that and build on four wins in their last five league games before the international break.

It won't be an easy task though, with injuries ripping through the Red Devils and Sean Dyche's side unbeaten in their last three.

Everton vs Manchester United: Point deduction

Everton were docked ten points by the Premier League for breaching financial rules.

The decision has plunged the Toffees into relegation danger as they are now inside the bottom three.

Profit and sustainability rules allow clubs to lose a maximum of £105million over a three-year period or face sanctions.

Premier League chiefs acknowledged the Merseyside club has not broken financial rules to gain a sporting advantage, but they were still hit with a points penalty.

Everton responded to the decision with an immediate appeal and an official statement revealing their ‘shock’.

But they will now begin their battle to regain the points lost, with a win over Man United the perfect way to reinvigorate fans and players following the disappointment.

Everton vs Manchester United: Team news

The hosts are not struggling with many injury issues ahead of the game.

Seamus Coleman, Andre Gomes and Dele Alli are the only players ruled out.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has still not played 90 minutes since coming back from his problem, with Dyche taking no risks of another knock.

As for Man United, they are still suffering with a whole host of injuries

Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia are still on the sidelines.

Christian Eriksen has joined the group of players out injured after picking up a knee issue against Luton before the international break.

And Danish teammate Rasmus Hojlund is also a doubt after suffering a muscle strain during the same game.

Andre Onana and Marcus Rashford were both seen taking knocks for their countries, meaning their fitness is also a worry.

Everton vs Manchester United: What has been said?

Man United are yet to get their money’s worth for ‘hugely disappointing’ Antony who is still without a goal contribution this campaign.

That is according to talkSPORT host and ex-Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino, who has named the 23-year-old as his ‘flop of the season’.

Speaking on the Weekend Sports Breakfast, Cascarino said: “He’s been hugely disappointing.

“For a player that’s been in the Premier League for a year and not seemingly improved from where he was last year, I would probably go Antony.

“Man United need him to be a really big star for them, they paid a lot of money – £80m for him.

“He’s not lived up to that in any shape or form."
