'Great timing' – Fans left baffled by Arsenal tweet after Manchester United FA Cup win

Arsenal boasted about their FA Cup record on social media, moments after Manchester United were crowned 2024 champions.
Literal seconds had passed following the final whistle at Wembley when the Gunners posted about their record 14 wins in the competition.
United claimed a surprise 2-1 victory over Man City on Saturday, denying Pep Guardiola's side the double-double as Erik ten Hag conjured a tactical masterclass to end their noisy neighbours' domestic dominance.
And there was surely no coincidence as Arsenal made a statement of their own on X as part of a fan poll.
"We have a legacy in the FA Cup like no other team having lifted the trophy a record 14 times," read the post on the Gunners' X page.
It was posted at 5pm – likely scheduled ahead of time to coincide with full-time at the final at Wembley Stadium.
Most fans saw the funny side of the tongue-in-cheek message, but others didn't, with some of the Arsenal faithful suggesting United have 'had a better season' after getting their hands on a trophy.
"Admin we know what you’re doing," commented an Arsenal supporter with a crying laughing emoji.
"Love you admin," posted another, while plenty of others mentioned the ‘great timing’ of the post.
But others weren't so impressed.
"This is cringe – United had a better season," read one of the replies, while another said: "This is not the right time, allow United enjoy their win."
Rival supporters also chipped in, with some posts reading: "You won nothing this season", and "Show us your trophies then."
One Man United fan also pointed out that this year’s glory also means Ten Hag has collected more trophies [two – Carabao Cup and FA Cup] in two years in charge at Old Trafford than Mikel Arteta has in five seasons at Arsenal [one – FA Cup].
And the truth is Manchester United aren't far behind – Saturday's victory over City means the Red Devils now have 13 FA Cup wins in their history – only one behind Arsenal's record.
United have also appeared in more finals [22] than the Gunners [21] in the competition's 153 year history.
But one fan landed the killer blow on Arsenal with this reply – posting a behind-the-scenes image of 'Premier League champions 2023/24' staging that remained unused as Arteta's men were beaten to the title on the final day of the season.
Ouch.
