Vincent Kompany screamed at Manchester United target Joshua Zirkzee in resurfaced video

Manchester United target Joshua Zirkzee once felt the full force of an angry Vincent Kompany in a post-match dressing down.

The Dutch star was playing at Bayern Munich when he joined Belgian side Anderlecht on loan for the 2021/22 season.

Managed by Kompany, the forward enjoyed a wonderful campaign in which he scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists to help the club to third in the Belgian Pro League.

But despite being one of their star men, Zirkzee felt the wrath of the Manchester City legend following a clash with Sint-Truiden in October 2021.

Having led 2-1, Anderlecht conceded a 94th-minute goal to be denied victory, leading to a furious interaction with his team post-match

"Listen. No misunderstanding. There's one  f***ing side to me that you haven't f***ing seen boys,” the Man City legend said.

"Number one, Wes, whether we play with three, four, five or six, it's my f***ing decision and I take the responsibility if we lose and don't perform well.

"The second thing: Zirk, (this is the) last time I talk about your attitude – you come off, I don't expect you to f***ing smile but I want to see an attitude that is perfect.

"You were not good, just like all the other ones – I could have taken everyone off, from Hendrik to the last one. Without anyone complaining.

"Today we deserve to lose. We can be f***ing happy with one point.

"For 95 minutes, we wasted our time. You have wasted your time, I have wasted my time.

"It would have been better to send the U21s."

While Kompany has since taken charge of Bayern Munich, Zirkzee is thought to be closing in on a move to Manchester United.

The Red Devils are close to a deal for the Bologna star who holds a £34million release clause in his contract.
