World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard hints at Premier League move with Manchester United and Chelsea as possible suitors for the Bayern Munich defender

Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has hinted he could move to Manchester United or Chelsea in the future. Pavard has spent the past six years in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart and Bayern, after making his professional breakthrough with Lille in 2016. Benjamin Pavard revealed that the Premier League is an option for him in the futureGetty The France international was tracked by a number of European clubs this summer but opted to remain with the Bundesliga champions. Both United and Chelsea were reportedly eyeing a swoop for the Frenchman as they sought to boost their defensive options. Speaking to Telefoot, Pavard revealed he received offers from different clubs during the summer and failed to rule out a move to the Premier League. “I questioned myself, I had calls from different clubs with my agent. Afterwards, I had the Bayern coach with whom we spoke and with whom we have a good relationship,” said Pavard. “He made me understand that I was in his plans, that I was important for the team. Maybe one day I will go to one of these clubs, you never know what the future holds. “I’m still at Bayern Munich. Afterwards, we have time to project ourselves.” Pavard scored the goal of tournament in the 2018 World Cup clash against Argentina Most read in Bundesliga worry Neuer manages more shots than Mane as Bayern record longest winless run in 20 years race Chelsea to rival Liverpool and Man United for Bellingham as Boehly plots £100m bid schooled Klopp and Tuchel protégé lined up by Brighton to replace Potter BETTER OFF Dortmund chief brands former star Haaland a 'burden' in final months at club flirting Dortmund chief says it would be 'charming' to see Ronaldo wear the club's jersey upset Saunders labelled an 'idiot' for comments on talkSPORT about Mane's move to Bayern Pavard is remembered for his goal for France in the 2018 World Cup Round of 16 clash against Argentina.
