An update on Kansas City players. As with Soony Saad, Sporting Kansas City was unable to find a trade partner for homegrown player, Kevin Ellis as the club waived the 26 year old defender this past week along with recently signed homegrown player Zach Wright. Ellis had an unsuccessful trial with FC Dallas earlier this preseason, but now Ellis has popped up in training camp with the Chicago Fire less than a week before the MLS season begins. The Fire roster at this point is still short on players so it might be a place where Ellis has a chance to land back in MLS. Here's the rest of this week's update.
