Chelsea, Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth are in the picture to sign Getafe’s Christantus Uche.
That’s according to AS, who mention the Premier League trio when covering the rise of the 21-year-old.
The forward’s statistics aren’t that impressive [one goal from 16 games] this season but that hasn’t stopped Chelsea, Aston Villa and Bournemouth.
According to AS, Uche has won the third highest duels [142], played the most balls [228] and is the most tackled [37] player in La Liga this season.
His seems to prefer to operate in the attacking midfielder role, but Getafe manager José Bordalás has used him mainly as a striker due to a lack of options.
The newspaper claims Chelsea, Aston Villa and Bournemouth have all sent their scouts to watch the Nigerian live in action for the La Liga side. These clubs see Uche’s power ‘as an ideal weapon’ for the Premier League.
Getafe took the attacker from lower division side AD Ceuta FC for €400,000 in the winter 2024 market and his valuation has increased drastically. His deal lasts until 2028, with an option for another year.
AS claim the Spanish club, who have to clarify the player’s future, are in line to make a huge profit from his sale in the future. The report makes no mention of Getafe’s request and points out Transfermarkt currently values Uche at €5m.
For now, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Bournemouth have sent their officials to closely watch the Nigerian, and his valuation is affordable for them.
