"If you say it out loud" – Bournemouth star speaks of season goal, reveals disbelief at form

Justin Kluivert has made his truly mark for Bournemouth this season.

The Dutchman has 11 Premier League goals and has racked up five assists, having notched up two hat-tricks already in the season.

The 25-year-old is currently into his best individual season and in a chat with Gazzetta dello Sport, he touched upon a range of topics about Bournemouth and his own form.

He revealed that his goal for the campaign is grabbing a total of 25 goals and assists.

The forward claimed: “Getting to 25 goals and assists: I want to be the best version of myself so that the team benefits from it."

The Netherlands man was also asked about the Cherries' target for the season and he stated that they want to qualify for the Champions League.

“In the top four for the Champions League. Even if maybe the top 5 is enough."

Even if Kluivert is aiming high, he also expressed disbelief at Bournemouth’s impressive form under Andoni Iraola.

"It’s hard to believe, if you say it out loud. But we want to think about what awaits us, about beating Wolves this weekend.

"The same goes for Europe: it’s our dream, but we haven’t gotten there yet."

Bournemouth have beaten Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City this season, having taken points off Arsenal and Chelsea as well. They have also beaten fellow Europe chasers Newcastle United.

It shows that they are a very capable side and their form against the bigger club will give them confidence for the rest of the season.

Kluivert will have a big role to play in the campaign and Bournemouth can benefit from not having any other European commitments that can wear their squad down.
