Julian Araujo arrived at Bournemouth from Barcelona in the summer for a fee of €10m.

The expectation was that he would become a regular squad player in Andoni Iraola’s side, that hasn’t quite been the case.

The 23-year-old did start some games earlier in the season, but in recent games has failed to get minutes, including Bournemouth’s 2-1 win over Manchester City at the weekend.

AS in Mexico have looked at the right-back’s situation, stating that Araujo is 'relegated' to being a bit-part player at Bournemouth and he is missing out on key games against the best sides in the English top flight.

The lack of game time in recent weeks is said to be 'weighing on' the full-back and he doesn’t seem to be too satisfied with how things are going.

The feeling is that 'Julian Araujo has a problem at Bournemouth' and so much of it comes down to Adam Smith’s performances at right-back.

It seems the ex-Barcelona man will now have to work even harder to make the cut in the first-team.
