Milos Kerkez arrived at AFC Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in July 2023 and made 28 league appearances for the Cherries last season.
The left-back has cemented his place at Bournemouth this season, making 12 starts in the Premier League.
Kerkez’s performances for Andoni Iraola’s side haven’t gone unnoticed as Liverpool and Manchester United have taken notice.
MilanLive.it cover this when providing AC Milan’s unhappiness with their own decision to get rid of the 21-year-old.
The Serie A side took the fullback from Hungarian side Győr in the winter 2021 market and sold him to the Dutch club in January 2022. The current Bournemouth player didn’t make an appearance for the Rossoneri, who earned €1m from his sale to AZ Alkmaar.
There are multiple reasons for the Italian club to ‘regret’ parting ways with Kerkez. The Hungary international has ‘exploded strongly’ at Bournemouth and his performances are beyond expectations.
Theo Hernández has been the first choice left-back at Milan over the past few years. The Rossoneri have been looking for a quality backup for the Frenchman and the outlet claims Kerkez would have been the right candidate, had they decided to not get rid of him.
He could have been very useful for Milan, especially when Hernández isn’t available for selection.
Despite the Bournemouth man’s young age, he’s developing into one of the best players in the Premier League in his position. The report states Liverpool and Manchester United are ready to make a super offer for Kerkez, valued currently at €25m.
Milan could regret even more if Bournemouth were to sell him for big money in the near future.
