Black Satellites head coach Desmond Ofei has praised the training facilities provided for his team as they continue preparations in Egypt for the upcoming Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

The team arrived in Cairo over the weekend to intensify training ahead of the tournaments kickoff this coming weekend.

Ofei commended the facilities where the team has been training, noting that they will be instrumental in the teams preparations for their opening match against DR Congo on May 2.

We are very fortunate to have arrived early in Egypt to acclimatise. The conditions are excellent. The training pitch is in great shape, the facilities are fantastic, and the food is good.

We are in a good space, which allows us to really focus, work hard, and get to our best level as soon as possible.

Ghana, four-time champions of the competition, are in Group C alongside Senegal, DR Congo, and the Central African Republic.

The Black Satellites are aiming to win a record-extending fifth U20 AFCON title, having last lifted the trophy in 2021.
