Ghana football legend, Abedi Pele Ayew, has called for strategic planning to ensure positive results in the remaining 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, which resume in September.The Black Stars World Cup hopes were revived after two impressive victories in March against Chad and Madagascar. Ghana dominated Chad 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium and followed it up with a 2-0 win over Madagascar at the Al Hoceima Stadium in Morocco, taking them to the top of Group I with 15 points.In a recent meeting with Ghanas Sports Minister, Abedi, a three-time African Footballer of the Year, expressed his commitment to supporting the Black Stars World Cup journey. He revealed that he and the Minister had been in discussions for months, setting clear targets for the teams progression.We need to plan again and take every match as it comes, Abedi stated, emphasising that continued collaboration would be crucial in securing World Cup qualification for the team. He also mentioned private discussions with the Minister regarding football matters in the country.Ghana have four matches remaining in the qualifiers against Chad away, Mali and Comoros at home and then Central African Republic away.
