Interim Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has suggested that the club's players may have lost sight of their objectives due to the comfort they enjoy at the club.
Zito, who replaced Prosper Ogum with just a few games remaining in the season, observed the players relaxed attitude during his first visit to the club house.
He believes this comfort could be a contributing factor to their recent poor performances.
"We met the players and saw their predicamentmany problems. When we went to the club house, I saw that they feel too comfortable," Zito told reporters.
"I don't know about Hearts of Oak, but I know Dreams FC. When human beings feel too comfortable, they tend to forget their targets in life.
"So, it is our problem, not just on the field, and thats why, as a coach, you need to study psychology," he added.
Ogum was dismissed as head coach following a series of disappointing results that saw Kotoko relinquish their top spot on the Ghana Premier League table with six games to go.
The club has since dropped to fourth place, six points behind the leaders, and has failed to win any of their last four league games, prompting leadership changes and growing concern among supporters.
Zitos first task as interim head coach will be to lead the Porcupine Warriors in their upcoming match against Aduana FC.
