Boniface! Bad news for Arsenal & Chelsea – 'I don't like the Premier League'

Nigeria international Victor Boniface has made it known that he doesn’t like the English Premier League which is one of the best leagues in the world.

This will come as a blow for Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea who are reportedly keen admirers of the Bayer Leverkusen centre forward.

Boniface, who is considered among the top strikers based in Europe, netted 21 goals in 34 matches to help Leverkusen clinch the German Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal during the 2023/24 season.

“No. I admit I did an interview before and I’m not saying this just because I’m on this level,” Boniface said on Spoty TV.

“I’ve been saying this even before I had an international passport, even before I dreamt of coming to Europe, I don’t really like the Premier League.

The former Union SG star would like to ply his trade in the Spanish La Liga if he does leave Leverkusen in the future.

“I said this before. I prefer Spanish football or German football. I’m not saying for example a good team comes for me I will not go,” he added.

“But I am just saying if you ask me to pick two countries, I really want to play in Germany and Spain, to live and play in Germany and Spain.”
