"Completely resolved" – Klopp on Salah touchline row

Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has once again played down the incident between him and Mohamed Salah on Friday.

The duo had a heated exchange as the Egyptian winger prepared to come on as a substitute against West Ham United during last weekend’s English Premier League clash at London Stadium.

Salah looked frustrated by something the German tactician said and was escorted away by teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez. Salah went on to decline to disclose what transpired between the two after the game and said: “If I speak, there will be fire.”

Klopp has now assured the fans that the issue has been “completely resolved” when speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield Stadium.

“There’s no problem. We are absolutely fine with it. It’s a non-story. I think we have the right to deal with these things completely independent of any expectations from the outside,” Klopp said on Sky Sports.

“If we didn’t know each other for that long I am not sure how we would deal with it but we have known each other for that long and respect each other so much that it’s really no problem.

“The best situation would be everyone is in the best place, we win the games and score loads of goals then yes, the situation probably would not have been like that because Mo wouldn’t have been on the bench in the first place. It all depends on each other.”

Salah has scored 24 goals in 41 matches for Liverpool in the current season and he is the club’s top scorer this term.
