Done Deal: Nigeria's Onyemaechi joins UEFA ECL champs

Nigeria international Bruno Onyemaechi has completed his transfer to UEFA Conference League champions Olympiacos FC.
The 25-year-old left-back joined the Greek football powerhouse from Portuguese club Boavista, where he made 77 appearances, scored five goals, and provided three assists.
This season, Onyemaechi has played in 18 matches, contributing three goals and one assist which has earned him a big move to Olympiacos.
"First of all, I'm really happy to be here. When I first told my family about it, they all accepted it. Now I'm looking forward to it and hope to see the supporters in the stadium," Onyemaechi said.
"I looked at the possibilities of playing in Europe; this is what drove me more to be here, and I'm really happy to be here. I'm a fast player. When the team has the ball, I am ready to help the team in attack and defence.”
The former Lillestrøm SK academy player has 11 Nigeria caps and he was part of the squad that reached the 2023 AFCON final.
