Ghanaian youngster Joseph Opoku has shared his excitement after helping Zulte Waregem secure promotion to the Belgium topflight in his first season with the club.The 19-year-old joined Waregem in August 2024 from Ghanaian club Great Corinthians before playing a significant role as they earned a return to the Pro League.In 26 appearances for the club in the league, Opoku scored three goals and delivered eight assists, including the one for the winner on the final day against RWD Moleenbeck."What an incredible way to end my first season in professional football winning a hard-fought championship and earning promotion to the Belgian First Division on the final day!" he wrote on social media."Im deeply grateful to the coaching staff for taking a chance on me and believing in me, to my amazing teammates for their fight and unity, and to the club officials for their trust and support throughout the season."To the fans your passion carried us through.
