Maxwell Konadu confident 'TALENTED' Black Stars squad will deliver at 2026 World Cup

Former Black Stars assistant coach, Maxwell Konadu, is convinced that the current playing body has the quality to perform well at the 2026 World Cup.The senior national team have enhanced their chances of qualifying for the tournament, which will be hosted in the USA, Canada and Mexico next year, after recording back-to-back wins against Chad and Madagascar during the March international break.Ghana secured a 5-0 win against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium before a 3-0 win against Madagascar in Morocco.With four matches to end the qualifying series, Konadu is convinced the Black Stars are on track to qualify for the global showpiece and added that the team will go far at the tournament.Talking to coaches from other countries, they believe Ghana can go far," Konadutold Graphic Sports."They know the talent we haveits just surprising sometimes how we underperform. But if we get it right, we can make the continent proud, he added.The Black Stars will regroup in September later this year for their Matchday 7 and 8 games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali before wrapping up their games against Comoros and Central African Republic.
