[caption id="attachment_1236318" align="alignnone" width="612"] LONDON, ENGLAND - APRIL 23: Thomas Partey of Arsenal[/caption]Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has declined to give further information on the contract talks between the club and Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey.The Black Stars midfielder has two months left on his current deal but the North London club are yet to hand him a new contract.His situation has opened the doors for other clubs to show interest, with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid reportedly ready to make a move for the Ghanaian midfielder.Meanwhile, Arteta in a previous interview hinted there was progress in talks between the club and the ex-Atletico Madrid star.
"Yes, there is progress with all the players. I'll leave that to [sporting director] Andrea [Berta] and the club to decide and to talk about," said Arteta.
However, after the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday night, Arteta declined to give extra information on Partey's contract impasse."I already gave the update the other day, and I think it's not for me to give any more information on that," he said.Partey has been in terrific form for Arsenal this season, making 47 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners, but will miss the crucial semi-final first leg clash against Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League.
