Arsenal are among the clubs keen on Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitiké, according to a claim from Germany.
The striker has starred for the Bundesliga club this season, managing 19 goals and eight assists from 38 games.
His impressive performances have seen him attract interest from other clubs, including Arsenal.
That’s according to Bild, who state the Gunners ‘in particular are hot’ for the 22-year-old.
The report claims the German club expect the frontman to leave in the summer window. His current valuation is around €40m, but Bild claim Eintracht Frankfurt have set an €80m price tag.
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche is already preparing for Ekitiké’s exit after this season. He has already identified 1. FSV Mainz 05’s Jonathan Burkardt as the candidate to replace the former PSG man.
They can make an approach for Burkardt if their own attacker were to change clubs in the next window.
Newcastle United, Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested in the Frenchman, while the north London club seem to be keener than their league rivals. Arsenal are ‘hot’, and it’s not mentioned whether they are willing to offer €80m for him.
