Arsenal U18s are set to finish their season on May 10th but there are still eight games remaining for Adam Birchall's team.

Birchall will be eager for his side to finish the campaign strongly and somewhat bizarrely there is still a chance of Arsenal winning the southern section despite currently being nine points adrift of leaders Crystal Palace, with the Gunners having five games in hand.

Other teams in the division also have a lot of re-arranged fixtures to play so the picture is currently somewhat unclear but  Birchall's side will be focused on their own situation, starting with Tuesday's game at home to Fulham.

Prior to the international break, Arsenal secured wins against Leicester and Chelsea and they have plenty of firepower in attack, with the likes of Louis Zecevic John, Andre Harriman-Annous and Ceadach O'Neill capable of causing numerous problems for opponents, while schoolboy winger Brando Bailey-Joseph also poses a major threat.

In goal there are two excellent options for Birchall to choose from in England youth internationals Jack Porter and Khari Ranson.

At times Arsenal have been vulnerable defensively but that is often counteracted by some great attacking play and the defenders are frequent contributors in terms of helping to launch attacks.

Ife Ibrahim has been a reliable presence at the base of the midfield throughout the campaign, while Louie Copley works very hard and contributes both defensively and creatively.

Dan Casey, who usually plays as an attacking midfielder, has been one of the standout performers for the U18s this season and has been prolific in front of goal.

Max Dowman, meanwhile, has frequently impressed for the U18s despite being just 15 years old.

It is possible that Birchall could give further opportunities to some of the club's talented schoolboys during the final stages of the season and it will be very interesting to see how Arsenal cope with the numerous challenges they are set to face in a short period of time.
