Aston Villa and Newcastle United have 'little chance' of signing Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike this summer as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United eye up moves.

That's according to Sky Germany, who report that the German side are expecting their striker to depart in the summer transfer window.

They explain that Ekitike is 99% likely to leave the Bundesliga club this summer and Premier League clubs are already on the lookout. A massive transfer fee is looming for the Frenchman.

Frankfurt want €80m for their striker and intend to make him their second most expensive departure behind Randal Kolo Muani. He would be ahead of Omar Marmoush after his €75m plus bonuses move to Manchester City in January.

Three 'top' Premier League clubs are already interested in the striker, namely Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United. Aston Villa and Newcastle have also shown an interest but 'have little chance' of winning the race.

Juventus are also showing interest but the trail leading to Bayern Munich is not yet hot, which may hand the English trio an advantage.

Frankfurt are set to make a major profit was as they only paid €20m to sign the striker permanently from PSG last summer.

Eintracht have more than accepted he will be going, despite a contract until 2029, and sporting director Markus Krösche is pleased about the 'next windfall' coming their way.

The question is who pays the money for him, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United seen as candidates but Aston Villa and Newcastle now unlikely.
