Sevilla want to sign Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga on a permanent basis in the summer but could face competition from around Spain for him.
That's according to Vamos Mi Sevilla, who say the loanee is a target, if they can bring his €12m asking price down.
They explain that Sevilla's sporting department are already working on planning for next season, gathering reports in various players and positions to be filled.
On the decisions they have to make is on current loan player, and that includes Lokonga. The player, for his part, has made it clear on more than one occasion that he would like to stay.
Sevilla have an option to make that happen for €12m but don't want to pay that figure. That's okay in principle as Arsenal are willing to negotiate, no longer considering Lokonga as part of their plans.
They, though, know that there is increased competition for the midfielder's signature as Atlético de Madrid, Villarreal, and Real Betis have all shown an interest in him as well.
That puts Sevilla in a tricky position and the feeling is that Victor Orta and his team will have to act quickly if they truly want to keep the midfielder at the club this summer.
