Cushing distances himself from Arsenal Women Job
Today at 10:43 AM
New York City FC boss and former Manchester City Women manager Nick Cushing has ruled himself out of taking the vacant Head Coach position at Arsenal Women.
As we reported yesterday, Cushing and Edu have a professional relationship and we believe Cushing was the favoured candidate of the Brazilian, who resigned from his position as Arsenal's Sporting Director this week. We are not clear on whether his departure is related to Cushing distancing himself from the job.
Nick Cushing just "confirmed" to me in his press conference that he will be with @newyorkcityfc next year. And that there has been no contact from #Arsenal about their women's team. #DaleNewYork

In his NYCFC press conference yesterday, Cushing said 'I will be here next year' and ruled himself out of the job at Arsenal. Our understanding is that a shortlist is in place but that no interviews have taken place as yet.
