Ex-England striker Ian Wright gobsmacked by viral photo of Gary Barlow's son

Ian Wright was due to discuss some of the biggest stories in the world of football in the company of Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville, but a viral photo of Gary Barlow’s son took precedence.
A wholesome family photo from the Barlow clan has taken over the internet this week, with social media users surprised by the height of Gary’s eldest child Daniel.
Daniel, 24, towers over his 53-year-old dad, his mum Dawn Andrews and one of his sisters – though many have been shocked by his real height.
Take That star Gary Barlow stands at five foot seven inches while his son Daniel, who is pursuing a career in medicine, is believed to be six foot two – five inches taller than the average man in the UK.
Wright was preparing to discuss the career of former Manchester United and West Ham manager David Moyes on The Overlap alongside Keane, Neville and Jill Scott – but Barlow’s ‘massive’ son was the first port of call.
Shortly after they entered the studio and were about to take their seats, ex-England and Arsenal striker Wright asked the group: ‘Have you seen Gary Barlow's son?
‘The Take That singer. Have you seen the size of his son?’
Getting the photo up on his phone, Wright added: ‘Look at the size of him! Have you seen the size of Gary Barlow's son?
‘Let me show you it. Look at him. He should be playing basketball, he's a giant.
‘Look at the size of him. I can't believe how big he is. I love that picture, he's massive, he's so big.’
The family snap was posted on Instagram shortly after Daniel completed an Ironman, which saw him tackle a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run.
Take That frontman Gary said: ‘We just couldn’t be prouder of our boy – unbelievable amounts of training and determination – when you put in the work you get the results. Congratulations #ironman.’
Barlow, who has been one of the biggest popstars in the UK for the past 30 years, has three children with his wife Dawn, a former back-up dancer on a Take That music tour.
Gary previously revealed that his children had no interest in following in his footsteps and had instead gone down academic routes.
He told The Mirror: ‘The two oldest ones [Daniel and Emily] have kind of gone into medicine and physiology – studying strength and conditioning – and my youngest one, Daisy, I’m not too sure what she’s heading for but again, she’s very studious… unlike me and my wife.
‘I don’t think they will follow in my music footsteps but I wouldn’t have discouraged them though if they did want to, it’s been a good business for me.
‘Every day I still enjoy what I do and when you realise you’re making a living from it, it’s a great, great place to be.
‘Many roles in ‘showbiz’ are just wonderful, there’s definitely a much harder world out there than the one I’m in I think.’
As well as becoming a global star and one of the UK’s most successful songwriters, Barlow served as a judge on popular ITV show The X Factor and has been renowned for his charity work.
