"Keep all doors open" – Arsenal player flirts over January transfer, offers encouragement to clubs

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has opened the door to a move to Brazil, admitting it would be incredible to play in the country.
TNT have an interview with the Arsenal man today in which he essentially encourages Palmeiras to move for him this month.
The Italian midfielder is a target for the Brazilian club as they look to secure signings and boost their squad ahead of the expanded Club World Cup next summer.
Talks have been started with Jorginho to try and make the move happen, although it has been reported in Brazil that Arsenal are standing in his way. They would like to extend his contract, which expires in the summer, by another year.
It has since been explained that Jorginho's contract demands were also proving problematic, with him wanting a contract worth €13m to make the move.
Negotiations continue on that front but in the meantime, Jorginho has offered encouragement to Palmeiras by admitting he'd love to play in Brazil.
“My contract is until June and my goal now is to think about the next game, which is in three days. There’s not much to think about, you know?” he said.
“Things happen very quickly in football, things can happen overnight, but my mind is on the next game.
“Football is a box of surprises, as we all know, but my goal is to think about the next game. I don’t even look, because it always happens. Every window that opens is always crazy, with a lot of information, a lot of things, a lot of talk.
“But if you stop to think about all the talk you always have, then you end up wasting a lot of energy and it ends up affecting your work where you are. So my goal, as I said before, is to focus on where I am, which is here today, so that’s it.
“No, it’s a possibility, yes, in the future, it’s a possibility,” he added on a move to Brazil.
“So this door is also open, obviously. Keep all the doors open and calmly decide what to do in the future.”
Of course, that could just be Jorginho stirring the pot to try and make Palmeiras accept his demands and push a transfer along.
Even if they do, Arsenal still stand in his way as they're likely to demand a fee to let him go this month.
It's a transfer that's very much in the early stages, but it seems Jorginho wants to keep Palmeiras encouraged to keep going despite the initial setbacks.
