Martin Odegaard has had an injury-troubled season in the Premier League for Arsenal but the past few weeks have seen him pick up form.
He impressed against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, and against Israel in a key World Cup qualifier yesterday, he grabbed a hat-trick of assists in a 4-2 win.
Massive praise has now been lauded onto the Arsenal man by his own teammates.
Alexander Sorloth, who is now at Atletico Madrid, spoke to TV2 about Odegaard’s performance after the game against Israel.
He said, as relayed by VG: "He is fantastic. Three assists speak for themselves and he is fantastic to play with on the right side."
Teammate Andreas Schjelderup had further praise for the attacking midfielder.
He said: "He is one of the best footballers in the world. The way he moves and plays football, you just have to enjoy it."
Odegaard himself spoke to VG about the game and said: "We have a lot of faith in what we are doing. We have developed a very good basic game.”
"We have become much better offensively. We can score goals and create things in many different ways. Then I will also come into my own more."
This clearly shows that the 26-year-old is enjoying himself on the pitch once again and that was already visible from his Arsenal form over the last couple of months.
The Gunners have a key next few months coming up and considering how Odegaard was such a vital contributor last season, he will be highly important for Mikel Arteta’s side till the remainder of the campaign.
They would hope that he keeps hitting form and guides the London giants to wins.
