"The truth is that" – Journalist believes Arsenal can 'force' player's January exit, price tag suggested

Last week, Arsenal were reported to be interested in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic and there was the suggestion of a swap deal involving Gabriel Jesus.
The talk about the Gunners' liking for the Serbian hasn’t gone away in Italy and there is now an indication that Arsenal could be a potential destination for the 24-year-old.
Journalist Marcello Chirico has spoken about the links and in a chat with Calciomercato, addressed Vlahovic’s situation at the Old Lady, with his current contract set to run out in the summer of 2026.
He went on to compare the striker’s state to that of Federico Chiesa before the Italian sealed a switch to Liverpool in the summer.
He said: "Juventus will resolve the Vlahovic issue in June, as with Chiesa, not before that. But there will be no renewal."
Chirico also had some criticism for Vlahovic and then addressed the Arsenal links.
“For me he is a player who is not good for Juventus. Goals are not counted, they are weighed, even the goals that are missed must be considered.
"I don’t think he will leave in January, unless Arsenal forces his hand. The truth is that Vlahovic realises that he has character and technical limitations and that he is unable to raise his level."
Journalist also spoke of the striker’s price-tag saying: "They say that with Italiano at Fiorentina he had a system more in his favour, then he goes to Bologna with Italiano, if they give us [Juve] €40m."
Considering Vlahovic’s contract situation at Juve and how there is no renewal in sight, Arsenal might be able to land him for a low fee.
Despite a rather inconsistent season, the former Fiorentina man has scored 12 times in all competitions so far. Last season, he scored 18 times in all competitions despite not being at his best.
This shows that Vlahovic might not be a bad addition to Mikel Arteta’s side at all and will add value to the team.
