Fan advisory board update

Following Adam Hobbs stepping down as chair of BIAS last November, his successor Angelo Basu co-chaired his first fan advisory board (FAB) meeting with Stuart Hatcher of Bees United last month.

The FAB is part of the Premier League's response to the government white paper on football governance and forms part of their new fan engagement standard. The FAB focuses on the strategic and long-term elements of the club's off-field operations that impact the club and fans. The objective is to increase fan input into the club's decision-making processes and ensure that the fan's perspective is heard at the highest levels of the Club.

Some of the agenda items discussed last month were:

  • Club procedures for preventing away fans in home areas
  • The introduction of digital ticketing for home games
  • Timetable for season ticket renewals

Read a summary of the meeting on the club's website.

Our next FAB meeting will be on 14 May.

In addition to the FAB, there are several working groups now in place that focus on the day-to-day issues affecting Bees fans. BIAS fully participates in all working groups and forums run by the Club.
