On 30th August, just over four months ago, Burnley signed 19-year-old Oluwaseun Adewumi on a four-year deal from Austrian club Florisdorfer before immediately sending him out on loan to Scottish Premiership club Dundee.

He's gone on to make eleven league appearances for Dundee, six of them starts, and has netted two goals for them with news coming from Scotland that his loan there is now to be extended until the end of the season.

The initial loan deal comes to an end this month but Dundee boss Tony Docherty has confirmed that an agreement has been struck between the two clubs for the player to remain at Dens Park for the remainder of the season.

Docherty said: "We are in constant talks with our recruitment team and we are in constant talks with Burnley as well. Adewumi is fine and continuing to play. There hasn't been any paperwork done on it but we have assurances that Adewumi will be with us.

"That is fantastic news for us. You are now seeing Seun is a really talented player. There were a lot of good performances the other night but I think he has grown and grown with each game. I can see the relationship now between him and the fans.

"I have always said that Dundee fans recognise good players. They are very much behind Seun and there is a brilliant relationship there. Seun responds to that. We are seeing the real development of a top footballer but we need to remember he is a young man and needs all the help he can get. The help he is getting from the fans and staff can only help him to continue to put in the level of performances he is putting in and improving."

Adewumi was one of two players to join Dundee last August. One day prior to his move, they took Julien Vetro on loan. He's made just four substitute appearances for them.
