Anthony's night at Boro

Jaidon Anthony set up our best chance of the night and was very much our best player in last Sunday's 0-0 draw at Middlesbrough.

His performance has rightly won him both the man of the match and the player ratings, his first double since joining us on loan from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.

Playing on the right hand side of the pitch, he won 64% of the vote to take the man of the match, ahead of CJ Egan-Riley who was second with 16%. Bashir Humphreys was able to take third place with 4% while Josh Brownhill came third with 3% of the vote.

Fourth place was the only one to change in the player ratings with Anthony winning with a rating of 7.87 out of ten. Egan-Riley took second place with 7.50 and Humphreys was again third with 7.13. Fourth place in the ratings went to Josh Cullen with exactly seven out of ten.

It's given Anthony ten points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year with Egan-Riley winning six points and Humphreys four points. Both Brownhill and Cullen win one point.

In a month where just eight points separate nine players, Humphreys has won the December Player of the Month, following on from Estève (August and October), Koleosho and Trafford (September) and Egan-Riley (November).

The two central defenders are at the top of the player of the year table with Egan-Riley now having reduced Estève's lead at the top to seventeen points. Brownhill remains in third place.

The STOKE VOTE is still open and closes tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in readiness for the Blackburn vote.
