Estève leads the way again in Plymouth win

Central defender Maxime Estève was on top form again in Tuesday's win against Plymouth with a performance that has won him both the man of the match and the player ratings.

It was a close run thing for the man of the match. He polled 28% of the vote, just ahead of midfielder Hannibal who won 24%. Josh Brownhill, who scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, was third with 15% while his midfield partner Josh Cullen took fourth place with 8% of the vote.

Three of those players won the same three places in the player ratings. Again Estève was the winner. His 7.11 out of ten was the only rating to pass seven for a good performance but all the others were over six out of ten, which is required for an average performance.

It was second place that differed from the man of the match vote. This time it was Lucas Pires who was the runner-up with a rating of 6.85. He was followed by Brownhill and Cullen with Brownhill rating 6.81 and Cullen 6.72 out of ten.

Again, Estève has won ten points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year with Brownhill next with four points. Both Hannibal and Pires won three points and there were two points for Cullen.

That's made little difference to the player of the year table other than to extend Estève's lead at the top. His 49 points is now 23 ahead of Brownhill in second place with Brownhill holding a ten point lead on third place CJ Egan-Riley.

The next vote will be underway later today following the home game against Preston. Below is the Plymouth result and the current player of the year table.
