Blackburn Rovers travel to relegation-threatened Luton Town this weekend as they look to finish the season strongly after their poor form.
Blackburn Rovers have seen their season drift away from them since the turn of the year. After such an impressive start under John Eustace, they are now nine points adrift of the play-offs.
Since Eustace’s departure, Rovers’ form has fallen off a cliff with a run that has seen them go eight games without a win. They even lost five games on the spin, a run which only ended in midweek.
On Tuesday night, they drew 2-2 with Sheffield Wednesday. They had gone into the second half 2-0 down but Tyrhys Dolan and Yuki Ohashi secured a point for Rovers.
As for Luton Town, they have had a very poor season and could yet suffer back-to-back relegations. Despite being unbeaten in their last five games they remain in 23rd and two points adrift of safety.
Matt Bloomfield has taken a while to get going with The Hatters. However, he is getting the best out of his side at the right time.
They drew 1-1 with fellow strugglers Stoke City in midweek. Millenic Alli’s 91st-minute equaliser secured a point for Luton Town.

“Blackburn Rovers are ending the season disasterously. After what was such a promising start to the year, Valerien Ismael has struggled to build on what John Eustace started.
“With that said, Luton Town will be confident of picking up points against Rovers. They are in good form and are becoming a very difficult side to beat.
“With that in mind I think that Luton will win this one. Rovers are in free fall and the Hatters look on the up, it could be a very important three points.”

“Luton Town really could’ve done with a win against Stoke City but having trailed going into added time, they have to be pleased to have salvaged a point.
“Back on home turf against a floundering and dispirited Blackburn Rovers side, I can see the Hatters claiming a massive win here.
“Rovers showed some rare fight to come back from 2-0 down against Sheffield Wednesday but there’s just a bad feeling about the side and club as a whole at the moment.
“With Luton fighting for their life, I think they get a big result in this one.”
