Club's talks with Leeds now focused on full transfer – Alternative option in their back pocket

Real Betis are continuing their plans to sign Marc Roca from Leeds United again this summer, with him an important name in their future planning.

That's according to Marca, who say the midfielder's performances last season have convinced Betis' sporting management and manager Manuel Pellegrini to push to keep him next season.

The manner in which he returns from Elland Road remains to be determined, though, as Leeds' failure to return to the Premier League has opened up the possibility of another loan deal.

Leeds will be playing in the Championship again next season and that means the clause which took Roca to Betis on loan last summer can be activated again.

Betis have already reached an agreement with the player's agents about his return, but it is the agreement with Leeds that needs working on.

Talks have been open for a while, but Betis have opened the possibility of signing the midfielder permanently if the two sides can agree on his current valuation.

Betis have no doubts about the midfielder and would prefer to sign him on a permanent deal rather than another loan if they can. Thus, talks with Leeds are now focused on that, but the two sides differ on how they value the midfielder.

If an agreement on that front can't be reached, then Betis will use the loan option to get him back instead.

The Spanish side are due to start pre-season on July 8th and they hope that they can finalise a deal with Leeds by that point, so they and Roca can continue together as they both wish to.
