Hull City boss Ruben Selles has said goalkeeper Ivor Pandur has ‘raised his level’ over recent times.
Hull City have made the Croatian stopper their number one this season. HCAFC are currently battling to secure their Championship status.
Pandur, 25, caught the eye against Coventry City last time out on Monday night. He made a string of saves to deny the Sky Blues to help his team pick up a 1-1 draw at the MKM Stadium.
Speaking afterwards, Selles said, as per the official club website: “Ivor is in the mode that he’s raised his level into the goalkeeper we’re watching right now. It’s important for every team, in the fight that we have, to have a goalkeeper that gives us points and the security and calmness in a lot of situations.
“Two of the last three goals (conceded) have been own goals, which can be very unexpected for the goalkeeper. I’m happy that he’s developing into that level of player and I need now for him to be consistent for the next three weeks.”
Hull City are positioned in 20th place in the table and are three points above the relegation zone. They have four fixtures left to play.
