18 goals and 9 assists: Chelsea lurking to sign 25-year-old international striker

Chelsea are reportedly 'lurking in the background' to potentially step up and sign a striker who has scored 18 goals this season.
Not only the goals though, he has also stepped up with 9 assists from attack, which is a very good asset to have as a striker as well as the actual goals. 18 goals already this season is really quiet something.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea looking at 5/6 positions to sign new players in!
Chelsea have been linked with other strikers as well, including Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. But it doesn't look like they are in any hurry to sign a new striker in the January window, unless of course the Kolo Muani news from Sunday night is actually correct.
An exclusive report has another name for us though, with Chelsea one of the clubs monitoring his incredible progress this season. And for once it isn't another teenager, it is 25-year-old Omar Marmoush who is currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga with Frankfurt.
Contract issues
Caught Offside report that Marmoush has not responded positively to recent contract negotiations with Eintracht as they look to tie their star player down to a new deal.
This has put some big clubs on alert, particularly from the Premier League, with Arsenal making contact already.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also understood to be lurking in the background, while Aston Villa and Newcastle United could also be two teams to watch in the race for the Egypt international's signature.
As the report details, the forward has now got a total of 27 G/A in his last 24 appearances for his club. That is truly incredible and you can understand why he is now having a host of the top clubs following him.
It doesn't sound like Chelsea's interest is yet to be that serious, but maybe it does become more serious down the line.
